THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

Politicians love to talk about “The American dream.” However, the phrase wasn’t coined by an elected official. That distinction belongs to writer and historian James Truslow Adams.
Adams penned it in his 1931 book “The Epic of America.” Of course, he couldn’t have known it would go on to define the type of life most Americans aspire to. In fact, in his book, the phrase seems to have an entirely different meaning.
This page from the Library of Congress contains the original quote:
It is not a dream of motor cars and high …

Hypocritical America

Enough already; the Ixtoc leak lasted for 9 months through hurricane season and the gulf recovered. No one cried and complained; all they did was try and stop the leak. Enough moaning already; oh I forgot people in the US of A keep whining until you get a free lunch. It is called the American right to sue!!! Guess what the Mexicans got from the Ixtoc Disaster — A big fat “ZERO” compensation for those affected!!! Only in America can you take bellyaching to a new standard; yes you have …

Bank of America Screws up — In my favor over and over again!

I used to hate Bank of America’s over draft policy!  But now I LOVE IT! It has turned in to my #1 investment strategy and has netted me $1370.00 of guaranteed income YTD
Until I figured them out the biggest issue with the policy was they debit the largest transaction for the day first which can cause all the smaller transactions to bounce. There are countless times that I was hit with 10-15 over draft charges because of this.  Over draft charges I would not have been hit with If BOA …

Review for “The Empire in Africa”

I hadn’t seen brains splatter on the ground in a long while, so I wasn’t prepared for this documentary. Pretty much everyone in Sierra Lione including children gets dragged into a national war. No one is safe not even people who visibly are refugees or farmers. This documentary does a great job of pointing out everyone who is involved with the murders and the plundering of the country from top officials of the UN to the world population. The documentary is biased toward the citizens of Sierra Lione which …

Sur @ 606 N. Robertson West Hollywood, CA 90069

(i forgot to order sangrias!) I came wicked early-about 6pm. I asked to be seated and they accommodated us which i appreciated. Service was at a good pace somewhere btwn leisurely and prompt. It was a bit nippy in there bc of the weather so i would caution future guest from sitting too close to the door. The place is really

Perspective Is My Best Friend

I like to put stuff into perspective. It makes me happy. Once I got my wallet stolen when I was 15 and I thought nothing worse could happen to me, but then I got a brand new pair of expensive glasses when I was 16 and some crazy bitch stole them from me and I thought nothing worse could

Dying Douche Dad

Dear Opinionsfrom.me,

My dad is a douche. When I was a kid he used to steal furniture from the house and leave for months at a time. We found out he had a second family. His other wife is younger and he has two daughters with her. It was always suspected but never confirmed until one day

Drunken State of Situation

I always hear people say, “being rational is a state of mind.”

I say that being rational is a state of situation. For example if you are bleeding out pints of blood, it makes sense to swallow a bottle of ibuprofen and think nothing of it. If you are loaded, it makes sense to give away

Stop spilling your guts and thoughts out to me. It is just going to end up on my blog.

People love to tell me things: my best friends, friends, complete strangers, complete stranger’s cousins. I don’t know why. I am hella judgmental. Like one time, my guy said to me, I saw this tranny on cl and I thought to myself I should hit that- and I did. And I thought to myself bitch y would you tell me

Pardon me sir, but are you smokin some MJ?”

The person who lives under me complained about my noisy feet. So the first thought is to tell them to fuck off, but what happened was I noticed this very annoying HOA pin on his shirt. The outfit was gaudy. He was wearing a shirt with chess pieces but it had been bedazzled. I said, “Luckily for me, I
