THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

Politicians love to talk about “The American dream.” However, the phrase wasn’t coined by an elected official. That distinction belongs to writer and historian James Truslow Adams.
Adams penned it in his 1931 book “The Epic of America.” Of course, he couldn’t have known it would go on to define the type of life most Americans aspire to. In fact, in his book, the phrase seems to have an entirely different meaning.

What’s not to love about Groupon? First off the name is catchy. A group of people buy a coupon and the group purchased coupon works hence Groupon (actually, I have no clue why it is called Groupon, but my reasoning makes sense). Restaurants like Sur, trips to Catalina Island, and hair cuts that normally cost $50-$150 are now down to $25-$75 or 50% off (and sometimes more). For people like me, who like to keep the money they earned to themselves for crazy things …

I deleted the brand of my laptop which will be replaced by ____________. Enjoy my rant!
Customer 01/27/2010
My laptop fan is so loud I have to crank the TV volume up just to hear the TV. The laptop sounds like a motorcycle is humming in my living room. The fan has access to air and the laptop is never over heated.
I want to take out some of the screws and re-screw in the fan or adjust it. Something to make it quieter. It has gotten louder and …

It was my first circus so I was excited! Things to know that will help you make a decision before you go and make your time there more enjoyable.
1. No animals being whipped! Great. No animals at all? Even better. I rather see them in a zoo eating leaves than balancing balls on their nose.
2. No carnival rides or games.
3. Check on goldstar.com or around for coupons. Most people didn’t have them but someone randomly gave me one.
4. Good for all ages. A …

Basic premise is a retired assassin/thug has been hunted down to be killed. This main character moves out of the country where he is surrounded by the typical characters: a priest, a semi naked harlot, the priest’s bastard son, and numerous, highly skilled and not so highly skilled, killers. The twist is toward the end where the retired assassin wipes away the cobwebs of his assassin-mind and figures out that some of the people around him are more of the enemy sort than the friend kind. …

Hypocritical America

Enough already; the Ixtoc leak lasted for 9 months through hurricane season and the gulf recovered. No one cried and complained; all they did was try and stop the leak. Enough moaning already; oh I forgot people in the US of A keep whining until you get a free lunch. It is called the American right to sue!!! Guess what the Mexicans got from the Ixtoc Disaster — A big fat “ZERO” compensation for those affected!!! Only in America can you take bellyaching to a new standard; yes you have …

Bank of America Screws up — In my favor over and over again!

I used to hate Bank of America’s over draft policy! But now I LOVE IT! It has turned in to my #1 investment strategy and has netted me $1370.00 of guaranteed income YTD
Until I figured them out the biggest issue with the policy was they debit the largest transaction for the day first which can cause all the smaller transactions to bounce. There are countless times that I was hit with 10-15 over draft charges because of this. Over draft charges I would not have been hit with …

Review for “The Empire in Africa”

I hadn’t seen brains splatter on the ground in a long while, so I wasn’t prepared for this documentary. Pretty much everyone in Sierra Lione including children gets dragged into a national war. No one is safe not even people who visibly are refugees or farmers. This documentary does a great job of pointing out everyone who is involved with the murders and the plundering of the country from top officials of the UN to the world population. The documentary is biased toward the citizens of Sierra Lione which …

Perspective Is My Best Friend

I like to put stuff into perspective. It makes me happy. Once I got my wallet stolen when I was 15 and I thought nothing worse could happen to me, but then I got a brand new pair of expensive glasses when I was 16 and some crazy bitch stole them from me and I thought nothing worse could
